Performance Engine Software
Dinan Performance Engine Software safely re-calibrates the MINI's engine management system, modifying ignition timing and air/fuel mixtures for optimum performance and improved drivability. The Dinan engine software for the MINI Cooper S increases output to 175 horsepower at 7000 rpm and158 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm, as well as providing a 300 rpm increase in the rev-limit (7300 rpm). The higher rev-limit allows you to carry more road speed in each gear as well as optimize shift points for optimum acceleration. Revised EML tuning also provides more immediate throttle response.

High Flow-Cowl Induction Intake
Dinan's engineers have truly outdone themselves with this seemingly simple, yet effective approach to the business of improving intake air-flow. The system consists of a replacement air box lid, designed to accommodate a larger, high flow performance air filter. The lid completely seals the air box and is molded from a composite material that is extremely effective as a heat insulator, ensuring that power-robbing hot air is kept at bay.

Free Flow Exhaust
Dinan's Free Flow Exhaust for the MINI Cooper S features substantially reduced back pressure and weight, along with a throaty exhaust note. For optimum flow and weight reduction, the two stock mufflers have been replaced with a single unit, featuring 100% 304 stainless steel construction. Back-pressure has been reduced by 70%, providing a peak gain of 4 hp @ 7000 rpm. The total system weight has been reduced from 36 to just 20 pounds. Dual, three inch diameter polished stainless tips provide a subtle high performance look as well.
Matching Stage 2 Engine Software available in order to take full advantage of the improved exhaust flow, optimizing performance and drivability.

High Flow Throttle Body
Larger bore throttle bodies have been developed for the MINI Cooper S, further improving the efficiency of the intake system, as well as providing more immediate throttle response. The stock units are carefully bored from 56 to 59.75mm, then fitted with precision-machined throttle blades. The larger bore throttle body completes the performance intake tract, ensuring that the blown MINI is breathing plenty of cool, oxygen rich air for optimum performance.
Stage 4 Engine Software has been developed specifically for use with the combination of the High Flow-Cowl Induction Intake, Free Flow Exhaust and Throttle Body, optimizing performance and drivability.
Boost Upgrade System
Dinan has increased the supercharger's boost pressure form 11 to 15 psi for a acceleration that is nothing short of breathtaking. The combination of the intake and exhaust enhancements, along with matching software and the boost increase, produces 205 horsepower @ 7000 rpm and 180 lb/ft of torque @ 4500 rpm.
The increase in boost pressure is accomplished in typical fashion, employing a smaller supercharger pulley. Unfortunately, extensive testing revealed that the stock fuel delivery system can't keep up as boost and rpm increase. In order to address the lean condition at higher rpm, Dinan has developed fuel pressure regulators designed to ensure that adequate fuel is available in order to take full advantage of the additional boost pressure for maximum power output and reliability.
While producing 205 horsepower is certainly impressive, equally important is the quality of delivery and overall driveability. The substantial power is delivered in a smooth and predictable fashion, making the 205 horsepower MINI just as enjoyable to drive around town as it is at wide open throttle, blistering your favorite stretch of asphalt.

Performance Cam Shaft
Dinan has developed a high performance camshaft for use is conjunction with the boost increase and intake enhancements that produces additional horsepower at higher rpm. The lift and duration characteristics have been carefully engineered in order to enable the engine to produce greater peak horsepower, with only a minor loss in lower rpm output. Matching stage 6 Engine Software has been developed specifically for use in combination with the increased boost, intake and exhaust enhancements, optimizing performance and drivability.
